Tamim holds records of most Test hundreds for Bangladesh

 
 

TamimSport News: Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal hit a rapid century against Pakistan in the second innings of first Test between the two countries at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Friday.

This was the seventh Test hundred for the 26-year left-hand opener.

With the century, Tamim currently holds the records of most Test hundreds surpassing Mohammad Ashraful (6).

Tamim was too aggressive while started batting in the second innings after Pakistan put 628 runs against Bangladesh’s 332 in the first innings. The Bangladesh opener reached his fifty off 63 balls hitting 7 fours.

Tamim then reached his seventh Test hundred with a boundary off Junaid Khan in the 40th over. He played 123 balls to complete the century hitting 11 fours and 3 sixes.

This was also third Test century for Tamim in a row. His two previous hundreds came against Zimbabwe in last year.
