CCNEWS: Walton has congratulated national cricketers Mahmudullah Riyad and Taskin Ahmed for their brilliant performance in the just concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
Walton Central Zone chief coach Kazi Emdadul Haque Basher Ripon made the note of congratulation while the cricketers had a training session at the Academy Ground, adjacent to the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, on Wednesday morning.
Mahmudullah is the captain of Walton Central Zone while Taskin Ahmed is an important member of the 15-man squad.
The franchise-based 4-team one day tournament of Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) will start on April 5 at Fatullah Stadium, Narayanganj. Walton, one of the franchises of the tournament, will play their first match on the day.
Mahmudullah became the first Bangladeshi batsman to hit a hundred in the World Cup. He smashed two consecutive hundreds in the tournament and was ranked among top ten batsmen with 365 runs in 6 matches.
Taskin took 9 wickets in 6 matches and was ranked 24 among 50 bowlers.
